Client/Objectives

ProSupps is a multimillion-dollar sports nutrition brand that caters to fitness enthusiasts ages 18-45. Their audience does extend to athletes and bodybuilders, but they largely serve those who treat wellness and fitness as hobbies. 

Kamaru Usman (UFC Welterweight Champion at the time) was launching his HYDE® Nightmare pre-workout supplement into Walmart stores nationwide. The main goals of this press release were to spread the word and to give details on the product and its potential. 

Challenges

The challenge was to promote the news without coming across as overly salesy. Since this was a press release, I also needed to present the news in a formal tone while making sure the reader was engaged.

Solutions

I highlighted the features and benefits that HYDE® Nightmare had to offer without blatantly telling people to buy it. The CTA statement was less focused on selling a product and more centered on getting people to contact ProSupps for more info.

I came up with the headline Run and HYDE! A Nightmare is Storming into Walmart, as a way to be witty and grab the reader’s attention. Also, to keep the readers excited about the news, I called out the positive experiences HYDE® Nightmare customers have had using it.
